The Brite Lite Frontal mini is an 8-channel fNIRS system, successor to the OctaMon mini, specially developed for pediatric research and brain development studies.

The device measures oxygenated, deoxygenated, and total hemoglobin concentrations, allowing researchers to investigate changes in brain oxygenation and prefrontal cortex activation during different tasks and experimental conditions.

Designed specifically for research with infants and children, the Brite Lite Frontal mini offers a feature set well-suited for studies in neuroscience, psychology, behavioral sciences, and child development.

The optode template is specifically tailored to provide precise coverage of the frontal region, contributing to consistent measurements in the region of interest.

As a member of the Brite family, the Brite Lite Frontal mini offers the same advanced features found in the full Brite system. This includes real-time or offline data measurement, automatic data backup, gain control with multiple power levels, and much more, delivering high-quality, reliable results.

Lightweight and comfortable for kids on the move

The Brite Lite Frontal mini includes a headband specially designed to fit comfortably on little foreheads. The new BriteBelt securely holds the control unit, contributing to the system’s lightweight design and providing freedom for active toddlers and young children to move freely during data collection. Weighing just 222 grams in total—including the headband and optode holders—the device is lightweight, comfortable, and easy to use without compromising performance.
